I got wood-soled backless clogs again after like a decade of none and 1) my feet are aching. A lot. But. 2) I can actually see an arch forming in my foot again, and 3) the terrible knee and ankle and OTHER foot pains are gone.

Bless the doctor who took one look at my ridiculously flat feet when I was six and said, “Wooden clogs. That’ll fix it.”

It did.

#what a guy #that was some lateral thinking right there #basically the big exercise for building arches if you weren’t born with the natural inclination for them #is scrunching a towel up with your tootsies #but if you wear wooden clogs #you have to do the same motion to keep them on your feet #so it’s a constant PT exercise every time you wear shoes #also fuck the company that used to make my clogs and then started only making ones with high heels #excuse you no #I want little wooden platforms that keep me even #not tilt me in a way opposite to ergonomic #you fucked with my PT and I forgot about it #and now look where we are #the company I got these from is Lotta From Stockholm if you also have flat feet
